Con Brio Choir Lindisfarne

History

Con Brio Choir is the new name for the Choir (singing with spirit) replaced the original name in March 2026.

Con Brio Lindisfarne, previously known as Lincoln Singers began in 1996, the first of three community choirs founded by Margot Lampkin OA.  The choir has performed

regularly since then, either on their own or with Southern Voices and Men in Black, in various venues on Hobart’s eastern shore, as well as Kingston.

In 2021, Lincoln Singers celebrated their 25th anniversary, and following Margot’s retirement choristers welcomed their current Director of Music, Madeleine Dyer.

Madeleine took over in 2022

Lincoln Singers’ repertoire has largely consisted of musical theatre and light popular music, together with some classical and, of course, Mozart Requiem.

Con Brio Choir hold their rehearsals in the Lindisfarne Community Activity Centre, 37 Lincoln Street, Lindisfarne on Wednesday nights 6.45pm - 9.00pm.
